Deputy of Education
The Faculty of Nutrition Sciences and Food Technology is a Faculty of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. The educational programs lead to BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in Nutrition and Food Science and Technology. Presently the enrolment is about 730. The Director of the Institute is also the Dean of the Faculty.
GOALS
The aim of the nutrition programs is to enhance the quality of human life by educating under and post graduate students for professional nutrition practice. The program provides the general and professional education essential for understanding human beings, their culture, and their environment; for acquiring and utilizing nutrition theory upon which nutrition practice is based; and for promising self, understanding, personal fulfillment, and motivation for continued learning.
Councils and Committees
Educational Council
The members include deputy for education, and head of the educational departments and other experts. The main responsibility of the Council is to educational planning, monitoring, and evaluation of undergraduate programs
Postgraduate Study Council
This council is chaired by the dean of the Faculty and is composed of representatives from educational departments. The responsibility of the Council is planning, monitoring, and evaluating of research and education in MSc and PhD programs within the faculty.
Scientific Committee
The members of this Committee make decisions about job upgrading of faculty members and researchers.
