Department of Human Nutrition

One of the four departments in the Faculty, human nutrition department, besides teaching duties is designed to lead the research in clinical settings.
The research being done in this department is varied, based on the students' theses and dissertations or the faculties, interests. A variety of studies have been done on diabetes. Some animal experimentation have also been carried out. The assessment of nutritional status of different populations has been another area of research. Effects of different foods or dietary supplementation have been determined on different diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and kidney failure.

basic nutrition (I and II), diet therapy (I and II), medical terminology, assessment of nutritional status, nutritional physiology, seminar in clinical nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, experimental nutrition.
