Adoption of the Institute’s research policy is the basic responsibility of the High Council, the members of which include Minister of Health and Medical Education, who is Chairman of the Council; Deputy Ministers for Health and Research of Ministry of Health; Deputy Ministers for Research from the Ministry of Sciences, Research and Technology; a Deputy Minister from Industries, and Agriculture Crusade Ministries; a Deputy Director from the Plan and Budget Organization, the Chancellor of Shaheed Beheshti University of Medical Sciences; Director of the Institute (secretary of the Council), and two experts in the fields of nutrition and food science and technology.
